Concertina

Peter's Comments:
This was my contribution to the "Gift of Music" covers exchange, which is under the auspices of SongFight. 1

My choices were "Black Bass" (Shonen Knife), "Down on Me" (Big Brother and the Holding Company), "I & I" (Taja Seville), and "Concertina" (Tori Amos). 2 Not surprisingly, I went with the Tori Amos song.

As for the result, eh, it's okay. The strummed acoustic is too loud. I made a few small changes -- different intro & outro, countermelody on the last chorus, a measure yanked out before the last chorus. But, I've spent hours & hours on it and I suspect that it's diminishing returns by now. My computer is screwed up again, such that it takes at least five seconds to do an edit of any kind. Grr. 3 Apart from that, though, it's been a damn good time. :)

So: off it goes. Happy GoM day to the Landfills!
