Peter's Comments:
Continuing to write simple piano pieces as part of my piano instruction. For this one, we settled on the task of writing a tune that used the same melodic rhythms as "The Bare Necessities," and with pretty much the same chords behind it. I went a little flat-7-happy -- I blame the wily influence of the album Help!

The result is a pleasant-enough exercise. I had some fun with the progressions, and inflicted enough chromatics on the poor melody so that it sounds good and drunk. If I were a real man I would learn this 'piece' and put up a live recording, instead of posting the mechanical, sequenced version that I painstakingly typed into the computer. Instead, I transfer MIDI to audio, post, and move on....
