Little Lullaby

Peter's Comments:
Well, let's tally up the good and bad....

• The good ~

  • That burst-of-static percussion sounds exactly the way I want it to sound.
  • Wrote something in 5/4 without breaking anything.
  • Wrote something using FLStudio for all the instruments.

• The bad ~

  • Lyrics. Gak. Simple lyrics are so hard for me to write.
  • Too similar to my other 5/4 song ("Disconcerted").
  • Too samey throughout. I introduce some variety with the bass parts that come in, but it's not enough. Likewise, if I had played the organ chords instead of sequencing/cutting/pasting them, it wouldn't have gotten so dull.

Gah. I wanna get away from this wacky stuff and get back to my guitar-ballad forte. And by 'forte' I mean 'thing that I suck the least at.' :) We'll see what comes along next....
