Peter's Song of the Week Club!

Composition #1
Peter's Comments:
Okay. I've got my fingers crossed, and I'm sincerely hoping that I'm back in the rhythm of things, and can put up songs regularly until the next horrible time-sink comes along.
My piano instructor needed an original composition from me by the end of September. Through the whole month of September, I was wearing the multiple hats of writer, director, p. a., and quasi-star for a sketch show that went up on September 24th. Thus, I was left with one week to write a piece. More specifically, this left me an hour or two of noodling on the piano to come up with something, which was kind of a challenge since I've never even attempted art music, never composed an instrumental piece, and never composed anything on piano.
So, I wound up with this. Repetitive, harmonically dirt-simple, and with a droning, unison-y left hand that is limited by the fact that I can barely play the instrument. Still, given what I was up against, I'm quite pleased with the results. Everybody has to start somewhere. :)
