Whoa. Okay, that's the last time I put off the song of the week until Sunday afternoon. "But Peter," you might say, "you've put off recording until Sunday night before! What's the big deal?" No, you don't understand: this time, I put off writing the song of the week until Sunday afternoon. Youch.

Anyway, I knew what I wanted to write about since Tuesday (when I nearly got into three different traffic accidents), but I just didn't get have time to write (choral performance this Monday).

So what's going on with this one? I finally used ring modulation. Now that I've cracked the Riddle of the Sound Fonts, I'm using proper Sound Fonts for all my MIDI instrumentation -- hooray for brass instruments! Also I'm trying out some just rampant, nauseating dissonance. I mean, some intentional nauseating dissonance. My voice still drifts out of key on its own :/.

I wanted to try limiting the un-ring-modulated acoustic guitar to the chorus, so that it gave a deliberately airy, cheery sound to that part. Usually I just use the acoustic throughout.
