You know what else will throw a monkey wrench into your schedule of songwriting? Coming down with a cold on New Year's Day!

<sigh> I still can't play electric guitar all that well, but I wanted to give it a shot. I also experimented with creating bass tracks by playing them on guitar and then artificially lowering them an octave in n-track.

This is my first attempt at writing something funny. I definitely wanted to write something lighthearted, after all these ponderous, self-absorbed numbers. I have mixed feelings about the result. I definitely did what I set out to do, but I know that someday I'll have to learn to properly play an electric. And someday I'll have to find another guitar solo.

Ah, well. Better luck next week! By the way, the wonderful background music is stolen from the Music for TV Dinners production music CD. Good stuff.
