Please Be Mine

Peter's Comments:
I'll say one thing for the holidays -- they throw a serious monkey wrench into any regular schedule of songwriting. Got nothing done for six days straight, then wrote these lyrics in ten minutes on the plane ride home. The chords took about half that time. So that's my way of saying "yes, I know: not my best effort." It is neat, though, to try to compete with Elvis Costello's record of writing a song in less time than it took to perform it.

I felt like writing a "phooey to the holidays" song. Me, a guitar, and (in retrospect) too much reverb. Next week, I think I should write something happy. For a change. :)
