Peter's Comments:
Ung. Definitely the wrong song to put off until the last minute. Going into the weekend, I had the melody and the lyrics written, but nothing else. Then Friday night got filled with stuff to do, and I found myself having to do an improv show unexpectedly on Saturday. Upshot of this, I found myself unable to start recording this until 7pm on Sunday.

<shudder> I'm not even sure if I like the end result. Right now, it's too strongly associated in my mind with screaming curses at my misbehaving Athlon computer at one in the morning. I think it's another entry in the "wussiest song, ever" competition I seem to be pursuing with this project. The melody is pretty derivative, but I didn't have time to go through and file off all the serial numbers. As far as I can tell, the intro is suspiciously like "Summer's Cauldron" and the outro is suspiciously like "God Only Knows." But, IMHO, if you're going to be uncreative, you might as well imitate really good songs. :)
