Peter's Notes on the "Sadie Hawkins" Class

These are notes for the "Sadie Hawkins" 1? class that Peter took at Four on the Floor.

In this class, the women learned to lead, and the men learned to follow.

The class was taught by the always-excellent Jeannie Elliott and Mike Sluyter.

Footnotes

1? This is named after a character in the comic strip "Li'l Abner," a very ugly woman whom her father married off by declaring "Sadie Hawkins Day," wherein the town's unmarried girls would pursue the town's bachelors in a footrace. If the girl successfully caught the guy, they would be married. Since then, "Sadie Hawkins" has been used adjectivally to describe events where the womenfolk take the initiative, particularly when this is contrary to convention. (Source here.)
