Buffy the Vampire Sing-A-long

Tonight's show will start with The Zeppo -- This is our warm up episode for tonight, and it's being brought to you by popular demand. In case you're not one of the people that can remember every episode by title alone, this one's all about Xander, and he gets to get it on with Faith. No real interactivity for this episode, just get your drink on and prep up for OMWF.

Intermission: Buffy-Oke -- Every Friday night at the Alamo Village we do this show we call Videoke, which is kind of like karaoke, but with acting instead of singing. Tonight, instead of having the same video trivia we played already and I know you could cheat on, we're going to have audience volunteers come up to the stage and act like Buffy and Angel. The best performance will win amazing prizes courtesy of I Love Video & Spiderhouse.

Once More With Feeling -- The interactive sing-a-long! Okay, obviously everyone should sing along to every song. If there are boy parts and girl parts, divide yourselves accordingly, singing along with whichever gender you identify with at the moment. All the songs will have subtitled lyrics on the screen, and some songs will have extra things for you to do, like:

The Mustard Song -- Spill mustard on your clothes! But be careful, because your dry-cleaner might not be able to get it out.

I'm Under Your Spell -- Blow your bubbles to fill the theater with the same magical aura we see on the screen! At the end of the song, everyone yell out what Tara's last line in the song should be: "Come!"

I'll Never Tell -- After Anya interrupts Xander's verse, get up out of your seat, find some space in an aisle, and -- hey! Look at you! You're dancing crazy!

The Parking Ticket Song -- The audience at last night's show may have taken our prop underwear home with them. That means it's now up to you to take off your underwear and throw it up in the air... This song isn't subtitled, but listen for the last line, "I'm not wearing underwear," and throw your undies up in the air then!

Rest In Peace -- For Spike's song, put your fangs in and try to sing along like a vampire. It's hard to be a character actor in Sunny Dale, huh?

Walk Through the Fire -- Lighters in the air, just like you're at a Coldplay concert.

Where Do We Go From Here -- Feel the love. Take the hand of the people sitting next to you. If you're at the end of a row, find the hand of someone in the row ahead of or behind you. Everyone in the theater should be connected by one long chain of hand holding, and we should all be swaying. At the end of the song, when Buffy kisses Spike, feel free to make out with the person next to you, too.

Throughout the episode, we'll also be yelling at Dawn because, well, she's Dawn. Anytime you want to yell at Dawn is fine, suggested yells are:

When Dawn first looks at the necklace she shoplifts, the audience screams "Take it!" Right before she grabs it, the audience yells "Take it!" again. When she puts it in her bag, we yell "Shoplifter!"

In her bedroom, when she says "The fifteen-year-old can be left in her locked house alone" (or whatever she says), we'll all yell out, "No she can't!'' When she sings "Does anybody even notice'?" we'll yell. "NO!" And when she sings "Does anybody even care?" we'll all yell "NO!" again. Then applaud when the puppet guy takes her out.

In "Life's a Show", when Dawn says "The hardest thing in this world is to live in it we all yell out, "Shut up, Dawn!" and various other aggressive insults.

Last Rule: Be loud, have a good time, but don't think that this is Rocky Horror or your audition for The Sinus Show. Yelling at Dawn is okay. Yelling at every character and making jokes about things that happen in other episodes is really annoying. You might think BUFFY is just a TV show. You are wrong. It is the greatest thing ever to happen to the medium of television, and a lot of other people here will get very upset if you don't treat it with the respect it deserves. This is like church, people, and I'm here to worship. Hopefully you are, too.
