So here's what I want:

1. I want to have as much fun as I possibly can.
2. I want to be the best performer I can be.
3. I want to be constantly learning.
4. I want the skills and experience to teach others.
5. I want to be proud of my performances.
6. I want to leave behind satisfied audiences.

I knocked off this list in about fine minutes. I think it covers everything fairly succinctly.

So the big questions are: what do I need to accomplish these goals, and where do I start? Divide and conquer.

All of these depend on the people I play with.

• #1 relies on my attitude, the audiences I play for, the scenes I play and all the administrative nonsense that goes with that.
• #2 depends on my commitment and my opportunities to play, learn, and teach.
• #3 depends on troupe structure and formats played.
• #4 is essentially #2 with the added joy of teaching.
• #5 depends on my attitude and formats played.
• #6 depends on formats played, stage time, and promotion.
