Desired Qualities of a Storyline

• It should be easy to shoot....

  • Requires few actors.
  • Requires few-to-no special effects.
  • Occurs in easy locations.
  • No costume requirements.

• It should have a clear storyline....

  • There should be an obvious main character.
  • That character should have an objective with something at stake.
  • That character should clearly win or lose that objective by the end.

• It should dovetail with other storylines....

  • The main character should get out and about through the city.
  • The storyline should stretch out over the course of the entire day.
  • The main character should encounter other the protagonists of the other storylines.
• The story should lend itself to some simple scenes that can be essentially repeated with only slight variations.
